Health Education Activities
In September 2023, eight fourth-year students Faculty of Global Nursing completed an integrated nursing internship at the "Parent and Child Plaza" run by the nonprofit organization pokkapoka, a women's and childcare support group based in Osaka City. During the internship, they provided health education to women raising children. This initiative is carried out every year in collaboration between the internship instructor and students, with the hope that women raising children will put their own needs first, as they tend to prioritize their children and put their own needs on the back burner.

University of Adelaide, Australia
Exchange meeting with short-term international students
In February 2024, eight short-term exchange students from our partner university, the University of Adelaide in Australia, visited the Sakura Shukugawa Campus and held an exchange event with students. The students were introduced to the faculties of Otemae University in English, and had an exciting time interacting with each other. They enjoyed interacting with each other while making full use of their English. Finally, they had a campus tour of the Sakura Shukugawa Campus. Although it was a short time, it was a fruitful time for both parties.

"Town Health Center" Project-Volunteer activities through collaboration between students and faculty-

Nursing students participate
"Town Health Center" Project
The "Town Health Center" project was launched by Professor Junko Yamamoto of our faculty in collaboration with our faculty members across the boundaries of nursing specialties. The first one was held at Dairenji Temple in June 2022. The students who participated were able to experience firsthand how nursing care is provided in a variety of settings.

Part 2: "Town Health Center"
The second "Town Health Center" project will be held in June 2023. Six students applied to volunteer and worked at three locations: Jokoji Temple (Higashimikuni, Osaka), Sakai City West Library (Otori, Sakai), and Hattori Nursing Center (Hattori Tenjin, Toyonaka). Through measuring blood pressure and grip strength and communicating with the subjects, students enjoyed the project, which they saw as a great opportunity to learn about the role of nurses in the community. Faculty members formed project teams and worked closely together, utilizing their expertise in each field.
