The second half of the 2024 open lecture series will continue from the first half, with the main theme of "100 years of history in the Hanshin area," and will be the sequel to the first half.

The final session was held on Saturday, December 14th, and was hosted by Masayuki Fujimoto, curator at the Nagoya City Science Museum, with the theme "The Construction of Japan's First Steam Locomotive at the Kobe Factory."
Although it was December and the weather was starting to get cold, we had a great turnout of over 80 people.
Mr. Fujimoto gave a clear introduction about Richard Francis Trevithick, who designed and supervised the construction of Japan's first steam locomotive, which was built at the Government Railway's Kobe Works in 1893.

This marks the last public lecture for the second semester of 2024.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the open lecture held in April of the first semester.
The first half of the 2025 public lecture series will be held at the Sakura Shukugawa Campus from April onwards, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Nishinomiya City's incorporation, with the main theme being "Talking about 100 years of Nishinomiya."
All course fees will be free, but we will provide further information on this website etc. around the beginning of February. Please look forward to it.
