In order to promote "human-sized urban development" through the participation and collaboration of prefectural residents, Hyogo Prefecture established the "Human-Sized Urban Development Award" to recognize organizations and individuals that have created excellent townscapes, buildings, urban development activities, and are creating towns filled with flowers and greenery.
This year, our university's Sakura Shukugawa Campus E and K buildings received the Encouragement Award in the Townscape Architecture category, and Managing Director Director Fujita attended the award ceremony held at the Hyogo Prefectural Government Office on Wednesday, November 20th. The reasons for the awards were:
・A campus that promotes diverse interactions by providing a rich landscape that connects students, staff, and local residents
- The exterior is divided into sections using exterior walls, eaves, and thin columns to match the scale of the residential area, creating a seamless exterior that combines human-scale space with lush greenery.
- In order to enable a variety of learning opportunities, we planned to create a "terrace" and "salon" that would serve as third places in the exterior and common areas.

We will continue to create a campus that is worthy of the Shukugawa location.
