[Faculty of Global Nursing] Accepted Global Nursing from Chiang Mai University

For five days from October 28th to November 1st, we welcomed 10 Global Nursing and two supervising teachers from our overseas partner school, Chiang Mai University (Thailand), to our Osaka Otemae Campus for a short-term training program.
The day before the program, faculty and students from Faculty of Global Nursing served as host families and conducted a one-day home visit.
The training program consisted of lectures and exercises in English by faculty members Faculty of Global Nursing, and students from Chiang Mai University learned about Japanese medical care, childbirth, Japanese lifestyles, bathing, and pediatric nursing. Professor Suzuki from Faculty of Intercultural Japanese Studies also gave a Japanese language course. During the program, the Osaka International Cancer Institute and the Osaka Social Medical Center also cooperated with the students, allowing them to observe the medical system and initiatives.
On the final day of the training program, students from Chiang Mai University gave a presentation on the results of their training and performed a dance.
Our students participated in the training program as volunteers, and members of the "Global Circle" formed at the Osaka Campus this semester also planned the program, providing an opportunity to actively interact with students from Chiang Mai University and deepen their understanding of diverse cultures. We will continue to implement exchanges with overseas partner universities.
