- Study Abroad and International Exchange
The annual speech contest hosted by International Exchange Center was held on Sunday, November 3rd at the Sakura Shukugawa Campus.
There are two speech categories: "International Student and Our University Student Pair" and "English Speech"
In the "International Student and Our University Student Pair Division," the international students make their presentations in Japanese, while our university students make their presentations in the native language of their partner international student. The students communicate with each other and help each other learn their languages while completing their speech manuscripts. Seven pairs participated in this challenge, hoping to get the chance to interact with international students and learn a foreign language from them.
Six students entered the "English Speech" category, hoping to present the results of their daily English studies. All of the contestants demonstrated the results of their practice and delivered wonderful speeches. Our students and the International Exchange and Cooperation Student Staff (Team Colors) acted as hosts and hosts, making the event a great success.
This year, we also introduced the "Audience Award," in which attendees were asked to choose the "speech that left the biggest impression on them" and cast one vote for it. The results of this year's judging are as follows:
