Seventeen students (16 university students and 1 junior college student) who participated in a two-week training program at Konkuk University in South Korea from Tuesday, August 6th, completed the training and returned to Japan on Thursday, August 22nd.

In preparation for their overseas training, the students received a pre-departure orientation covering crisis management, cross-cultural understanding, and what to bring, and their accompanying teacher, Professor Chang Ki-gwon, gave them an explanation of the local situation and training content, ensuring thorough preparation for their trip.
The Korean training included Korean language classes tailored to the students' level from 10:00 to 17:00, Korean culture experience classes, and from 17:00, a trip to Joseon Dynasty palaces, castles, museums, Myeongdong, Hongdae, Seongsu, Gangnam, Hangang, Lotte World, Dongdaemun Market, and Namdaemun Market with friends from Konkuk University. It was a valuable time not only to improve the Korean language but also to deepen understanding of different cultures and food.

Below are some comments from the training participants.
・I was able to actually go to Korea and experience Korean culture and the lives of the people for myself, and because I had more opportunities to actively use Korean, I felt that my communication skills and language skills had improved.
・I liked that I was able to learn Korean at a level that suited my level, and that the lessons were not just in Korean, but also included looking at photos and learning about Korean culture and cuisine.
・I like design, so I was stimulated by seeing stylish towns and cafes that are different from those in Japan. Also, it was great to see the students who participated in the training cooperate with each other to overcome their own difficulties, and to become friends with each other regardless of age.
・I went to an unfamiliar place and was able to experience a new world I had never felt before.
