Assistant Professor Kozue Yamauchi from Faculty of Global Nursing gave a poster presentation at Global Health Recalibration, which was held in Chiang Mai from September 4th to 6th.
At this conference, hosted by Chiang Mai University in Thailand, we presented the activities we carried out as part of our efforts to revise the "Health Handbook for Vietnamese Working in Japan." The "Health Handbook for Vietnamese Working in Japan" was created in 2022 by the Migrant Health Working Group, Viet Nam (MHWG) in collaboration with the National Center for Global Health and Medicine and the Minna no Kasei Network (MINNA). Assistant Professor Yamauchi is involved in MINNA activities, and announced that in revising the "Health Handbook for Vietnamese Working in Japan," they applied PEMAT, a method for systematically evaluating the ease of understanding and action of materials that provide health and medical information for patients and citizens, to the electronic version of the handbook. This was Assistant Professor Yamauchi's first experience presenting a poster at an overseas conference. Assistant Professor Yamauchi hopes that this handbook will become more widely known among as many Vietnamese as possible, and will continue to be involved in the activities.
