Sakura Shukugawa Campus has an International Exchange Lounge on the second floor of Building E as a place for on-campus international and student exchange. In order to further boost international exchange on campus, the International Exchange Lounge was renovated during this summer vacation to be approximately twice as large as before. To commemorate this, a "Renovation Commemorative Event" was held during the lunch break on Friday, September 20th, the first day of the fall semester. With the participation of President Hirano, faculty and staff, and many students, it was a great success, with many people standing as they could not get into the lounge.

The event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony by President Hirano, Vice-President Watanabe, Director Academic Affairs Ozaki, and Professor John Jackson. This was followed by a koto and violin performance by Japanese students. There was also an erhu performance by Chinese students. Next, there was a dance performance by students from Myanmar and Malaysia. It was an event with a strong international flavor.

We will work together with Team Colors (an international exchange student group) to further enrich exchanges between international students and our students, to make the campus a place of relaxation and a base for international exchange. We hope you will look forward to the international exchange on campus.
