-Poster presentations from Japan and reports on evidence-based practice -

Professor Nishimura and Lecturer Tsuchiya from Faculty of Global Nursing participated in the Global Evidence Summit (GES) held in Prague from September 10 to 13. GES is an academic conference jointly held by four organizations engaged in evidence-based practice activities worldwide, including JBI, of which Faculty of Global Nursing Otemae University is a branch, Cochrane, GIN (Guideline International Network), and Campbell Collaboration.
This time, Otemae University Implementation Center presented three poster presentations. The presentations were made by two students from the first batch who participated in the EITP (Evidence Implementation Training Program) in 2020 (Takuya Adachi and Rie Fujii from Hyogo College of Medicine Hospital).
During the poster session, the importance of putting evidence into practice in clinical practice was made clear through the Q&A session with the participants. In particular, as this evidence-based practice took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the two project leaders faced various difficulties but overcame them together with their team members. As a result, they were the first in Japan to pave the way for putting the best evidence into practice for patients and improving healthcare.
It is a great honor for Otemae University Implementation Center to play a part in this. We will continue to work with clinical nurses to deliver the best evidence to all patients.
