[Faculty of Global Nursing] Lecturer Mariko Yamamoto gave a poster presentation at an international conference in Chiang Mai

Mariko Yamamoto, Lecturer at Faculty of Global Nursing gave a poster presentation at Global Health Recalibration, which was held in Chiang Mai from September 4th to 6th.
Under the theme of "Advance Care Planning Process of Home Health Care Nurses for Home Care Patients," we analyzed and presented interviews with visiting nurses on the content of Advance Care Planning (ACP) for home care patients. ACP practice for home care patients is categorized into three categories: "intervention for home care patients," "intervention for families," and "intervention for the surrounding environment." We reported that visiting nurses not only intervene for the patients themselves, but also provide support for their families and comprehensive support by making effective use of social resources.
The conference was attended by medical professionals, educators, and researchers from various countries, and we were able to exchange information about the health and welfare situations in each country. The content was very helpful for my future educational and research activities.
