We embraced "Try It Week" again this fall!
2024.09.11
- Rooted in the community

As part of the "Try-it Week" project, which is implemented as a social activity for junior high school students in Hyogo Prefecture, we welcomed five second-year students from Kobe Municipal Motoyama Minami Junior High School on both Monday, September 9th and Tuesday, September 10th.
On Monday the 9th, students in the Manga major section of Faculty of Architecture & Arts created metal badges using hand-drawn character designs and designs drawn on a computer, and on Tuesday the 10th, students in the Animation major section learned about the phenakistoscope method of animation (drawing pictures at equal intervals on a circular piece of paper, rotating it at high speed to animate it) and frame-by-frame techniques, and actually filmed a robin for about 30 seconds.
Although the practical training was completed within a limited time frame, it was a meaningful day for the students as they were able to gain experiences that they could not have learned in junior high school.
Thank you to everyone at Kobe Municipal Motoyama Junior High School for your hard work.
