Eight students (3rd year) from Associate Professor Hidetake Sakamoto's seminar on Tourism and Regional Management in the School Faculty of Modern Social Studies participated in the Water-Splash Festival held at Nishinomiya Municipal Kohroen Elementary School on August 3rd, and deepened their interactions with the elementary school students and local residents who visited. The festival was organized by the Kohroen District Youth Protection Council, and the students created an activity together with the Nishinomiya YMCA.

The activity involved children forming a circle and using cups of water to knock down a target placed in the center. The students supported the children by encouraging them to have fun and working with them to see which distance to go to the target. The weather was perfect and it was a very hot summer day, but the students got soaked along with the children as they enjoyed their summer vacation day. It was a meaningful experience for the students to be able to deepen their interactions with the local people by participating in an event held in the local area of the campus.
