Students from our university's Faculty of Health and Nutrition participated in the Food Education Summer Festival, held at the Nishiyodogawa Ward Office in Osaka City on Tuesday, July 30th, as Osaka City Healthy Partners.
At the event, a total of 13 students, including four third-year students, seven second-year students, and two first-year students, volunteered to take part in food education activities.

Otemae University set up a booth in the "Food Education Quiz & Games" section. There was a booth where you could guess the flower of a vegetable, and make origami for food education. Children could fold their desired origami creations from ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, and fish, and at the end decorate them with stickers to take home. Parents were also seen taking photos of their children. Not only children, but people of all ages also had fun participating.
The total number of participants at Otemae University booth was nearly 100 (the total number of participants in the Food Education Summer Festival was estimated at 403, including approximately 113 children).

Many companies participated in this event, and the students enjoyed the event itself. This activity is also an opportunity to experience what they have learned in class in a practical way. This time, each year seemed to have various realizations. As students who are all aiming to become registered dietitians, there was also interaction beyond the year, and everyone seemed to have a good time.
