On Saturday, July 13th, we held the fourth public lecture for the first half of 2024.
The fourth and final lecture of the first half of the term was a 90-minute lecture by Mr. Katsuji Akaso, Deputy Director of Hanshin Koshien Stadium, entitled "The History of Hanshin Koshien Stadium Celebrating its 100th Anniversary and Its Vision for the Next 100 Years." Although it was a scorching hot day, the lecture was attended by over 130 participants, the largest number of participants of any lecture held in the first half of the term.

In this lecture, we looked back on the history of Hanshin Koshien Stadium, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and introduced its current state in the Reiwa era and its vision for the future for the next 100 years.

As 2024 will be a memorial year in various places in the Hanshin area, the first part of the event was held in the first half of the year with the main theme of "100 years of history in the Hanshin area." In the second half of the year, the second part will look back on the history of the Hanshin area with themes such as the history of the development of amusement parks in the Hanshin area and the production of Japan's first steam locomotive at the Kobe Factory, and will feature Lecturer from various fields, including Professor from our university.
