The 19th National Conference on Food Education Promotion, held on June 1st and 2nd, 2024, was a great success, with approximately 30,000 visitors on both days. In addition, the final judging and results of the Osaka EXPO Healthy Menu Contest were announced on June 2nd.

The menu contest received 46 menu entries from students of universities and vocational schools specializing in nutrition and cooking in Osaka Prefecture, and three teams were selected from these for the final judging. The judging took place on stage at the venue, where the submitted menus were cooked within about an hour, and the nine judges competed on the total score, including points from tasting the menus, the cooking performance on stage, and the online voting points. In the end, the team won an excellent award (second place), and the teamwork of the three was fully demonstrated on stage in a tense atmosphere.

Team name: Otemae University Topaz, Yamagami, Namba, and Shirotani (3rd year Faculty of Health and Nutrition)

The school recently received an official certificate of commendation from Osaka Prefecture, which was presented to it by Professor Lee Myung-jin, Faculty of Health and Nutrition, and we received congratulatory remarks from the relevant teachers.
