On Monday, April 15th, first and second year students of Faculty of Global Nursing jointly held a "Special Career Planning Lecture: First and Second Year Students Faculty of Global Nursing Take a New Step" in the multipurpose hall. This was the first attempt of its kind for Faculty of Global Nursing, and students shared their experiences in nursing practice and daily student life. Through this exchange, students became aware of themselves as members of Faculty of Global Nursing, and it was a valuable opportunity to think about their own career paths. It was a meaningful learning opportunity for students who are searching for their future paths.
The event proceeded as follows:
■Icebreaker
First and second year students played a game called "Birthday Chain" together. In this game, students line up in order of their birthdays, without speaking or using any non-verbal communication, and a grand movement of students took place in the multipurpose room.
■Presentation by senior students about their experiences in the International Nursing Practice III
In their third year, all students in Faculty of Global Nursing complete an international nursing internship at a partner university or institution overseas. Fourth-year students who completed internships at Chiang Mai University and the Philippine General Hospital gave presentations on their learning and internship life, sharing photos and stories of their experiences.
■Introduction to International Exchange Center
Faculty and staff members of International Exchange Center Management Committee appeared dressed in costumes from their respective countries and introduced their activities.
■Group discussion for senior and junior students
The second-year students talked to the first-year students about their experiences in training and student life, and the first-year students consulted with the second-year students about their current concerns. The event was held in a friendly atmosphere from start to finish.
The new students were still anxious about the new semester, but I think they were able to ease their anxiety by interacting with teachers and seniors at an early stage. They were also inspired by hearing about overseas training and international exchange activities, which was a valuable opportunity for them to increase their motivation for school life. I hope that the students will continue to have a fulfilling university life.
