Certificates of commendation were presented to outstanding performers in the 2023 Home Cooking Skills Examination.
This year, the award ceremony has resumed at the Kagawa Nutrition College campus in Tokyo, which had been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, one student each from the Level 2 (2nd year students) and Level 3 (1st year students) classes received the Kagawa Nutrition Academy Excellence Award in the individual category, demonstrating excellent results once again.
Applications for the 2024 academic year have begun, and students are eager to pass the first round of exams (written) to be held in June.
<What is the Home Cooking Skills Test?>
The Home Cooking Skills Certification Examination is sponsored by a total of seven organizations, including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and is hosted by the Kagawa Nutrition Academy.
There are levels from Grade 5 to Pre-1, with a first exam (written) and a second exam (practical) for Grades 3 and above.
The aim is to help students understand the importance of food, nutritional balance, food culture, etc., and to acquire knowledge and skills related to healthy and wholesome eating habits.
Many students in Faculty of Health and Nutrition take on the challenge every year.
