On March 27th, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new school building, "Building K," was held at the Sakura Shukugawa Campus, with Otemae Otemae Educational Corporation Chairperson of the Board Fukui Kaname, Otemae University President Hirano Mitsutoshi, and Otemae College President Fukui Yoko attending.
The new school building, "Building K," will feature four lecture rooms of various sizes, as well as an active learning space, an area for group work, and individual booths where students can take remote classes.
The semi-outdoor stairs and corridors provide viewpoints overlooking the cherry blossoms on the existing campus, allowing students to enjoy the nature of the campus in between lectures.
With the creation of this "Third Place," a comfortable third location where students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors can interact, we hope that it will be used not only for classes, but also for a variety of student activities and as a place for interaction with the local community.
