Students from Otemae Educational Corporation Cultural Association Broadcasting Club, in collaboration with Hyogo Prefecture Nishinomiya Police Station, produced videos on "Five Rules for Safe Bicycle Use," "Awareness-raising Videos on Wearing Helmets," and "Making Sure to Take Out Bicycle Insurance."

This initiative was requested by Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture to be made possible by the fact that, although wearing bicycle helmets has become mandatory since April 1, 2023, the rate of helmet wearing has been sluggish in Hyogo Prefecture. In order to increase opportunities to think more about the necessity and road manners, three universities in Nishinomiya City produced videos at the request of the Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture, with the producers being of the same generation as the students and the way they distribute the videos being produced.

Our university began production in February 2024, and in addition to filming on campus, we also borrowed Koshien Driving School for filming.

On Friday, March 15th, a presentation of the completed video was held at Nishinomiya Civic Hall, which was open to the general public.
The presentation began with a greeting from the mayor of Nishinomiya, followed by presentations by Otemae Educational Corporation Cultural Association Broadcasting Club, Kobe College Dance Club, and Kwansei Gakuin University Headquarters Broadcasting Station.
The video produced by the students was aired on NHK's "Live Love Hyogo" on Monday, March 18th, and was also interviewed by the Kobe Shimbun newspaper.

Comments from the creators at our university
This video deals with issues that could happen in our everyday lives, so it is definitely a must-watch for young people and all cyclists.
