"Ebisu Children's Cafeteria," sponsored by the nonprofit organization Ebisu Basketball Club, was held temporarily on Sunday, January 28th at the Sakura Shukugawa Campus. "Ebisu Children's Cafeteria" is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at the school building of the Nishinomiya Koei High School of the Omae Gakuen Educational Corporation, with the theme of "Enlivening the community with the power of food and basketball." This time, with special support from Japan Drone Organization Co., Ltd., it was decided to hold the event at the Sakura Shukugawa Campus gymnasium to give participating children a chance to try flying a drone.
On the day, professional basketball player Yasuaki Hamataka, a native of Anamizu Town in Ishikawa Prefecture, visited the event as an ambassador to raise funds to support the disaster-stricken areas. In addition to collecting donations, he also gave shooting lessons to the children, creating a lot of excitement in the venue.
In addition, students from Kwansei Gakuin University and our university's volunteer club participated as volunteers, making this a volunteer activity that went beyond our university boundaries.
