[Faculty of Global Nursing] Accepted Global Nursing from Yonsei University, Korea

For five days from January 15th to 19th, we welcomed six Global Nursing from our overseas partner institution, Yonsei University (South Korea), to our Osaka Otemae Campus for a short-term training program.
The training program consisted of lectures and exercises in English by faculty members Faculty of Global Nursing, and Yonsei University students learned about Japan's medical system, the current situation of the elderly, and the visiting nurse system. In addition, with the cooperation of a care facility in Osaka Prefecture, they were able to observe visiting nurses in Japan. In addition, they visited the Sakura Shukugawa Campus, where they had an exchange meeting with students and a campus tour, and the students enjoyed interacting with each other while making full use of their English and Korean skills.
They also visited the ATC Ageless Center, where they saw and tried out welfare equipment, and the Kobe Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution, where they learned about disaster prevention in Japan.
On the final day, students from Yonsei University gave presentations about their studies in Japan and were awarded certificates of completion.
On the day before the program, students from Faculty of Global Nursing and Graduate School of Global Nursing Science served as host families for a two-day homestay. During the training program, a cultural exchange event was held where the students made art using mizuhiki, giving the Yonsei University students an opportunity to experience Japanese life and culture.
Our students participated in the training program as volunteers and not only enjoyed interacting with international students, but also had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of different cultures.
We will continue to promote exchanges with our overseas partner universities.
