On Thursday, November 20th, Professor Ryohei Ebi of the School of Faculty of Modern Social Studies (Tourism and Regional Management) and two students from his seminar gave a lecture at Hyogo Prefectural Takasago High School during the "Comprehensive Inquiry Period." Currently, Takasago High School is conducting a "Hometown Co-Creation Project," in which high school students tackle a theme given by the executive committee, under the theme of "Night Fantasy Illusion," which will be held in Takasago City.
This time, the lecture was aimed at all first-year students who are engaged in research activities, with the aim of hearing from the university about key points to consider when coming up with a project. After Professor Ebi gave an overview of Creating Regional Value major and the seminar, Ebi seminar students Souma Fujiwara and Rioko Kawabe, third-year students in Faculty of Modern Social Studies, gave specific explanations of the projects they are working on in their seminar.
The content covered the production process and key points of the "OTEMAE TOURISM TIMES," a tourist information tabloid that is produced every year by the seminar, as well as an overview of the original coffee and craft beer that the seminar produced this year, and their exhibits at Hyogo Rakuichi Rakuza, Nishinomiya Sakagura Renaissance, and the Nishinomiya Civic Festival. The high school students listened attentively, holding the "OTEMAE TOURISM TIMES" that was distributed to them.
In the coming days, the high school students will be planning and preparing their presentations for the recital to be held in February, and Professor Ebi and his seminar students are scheduled to participate in the recital.
