My own growth as an educator and researcher
Aim for it.

In April 2025, I will be appointed as Assistant Professor at Otemae University Faculty of Global Nursing. I will be in charge of lectures and practical training in the field of psychiatric Global Nursing, and will provide a wide range of support for students' learning, including assisting with exercises, checking report assignments, and leading hospital practical training. I feel great fulfillment in being able to face new challenges every day at a university, which is a place of research and education. The research foundations I developed at graduate school will lead to my next exploration as a teacher, and my experience as a graduate student will come in handy when guiding students. In the future, I would like to work on research that will deepen understanding of the symptoms of mental illness, which are difficult to understand, and to further progress as a researcher.

As a midwife who deals with life,
A bridge.

I entered the doctoral program at Osaka University Graduate School in order to conduct research that directly relates to supporting mothers, babies, and families. At Otemae University Graduate School, I participated in an overseas internship in Laos, where I provided health education to pregnant women and culturally respectful guidance and support with the support of local medical staff. Now that I have gained clinical experience as a midwife and learned about international nursing, I would like to take on both clinical and research roles and engage in research that can support mothers and families from diverse backgrounds who face life.

The wide range of learning I did during my time at the hospital has helped me achieve my current unshakable
On the foundation.

I work in a department that supports children from 0 to 18 years old, pregnant women, and their families, providing consultation and home visit support every day. At graduate school, I learned a wide range of subjects, including maternal and child health practices, how to work with the government, and multicultural support. I also learned the basics of abuse and domestic violence through lectures, training at the police station, and graduation research, which allowed me to remain calm when faced with actual cases. The perspective and experience I gained during my time at university is the foundation that allows me to respond carefully to complex consultations while working with multiple professions. I aim to become a public health nurse who has experience in a variety of fields and is trusted by the local community.

Connecting the local area and the world with the power of information,
Realizing medical care.

I am currently working in the Medical Information Management Office of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, where I am involved in building a PHR (Personal Health Record) system and strengthening and improving the regional collaboration system. When analyzing government and global statistical data and speaking at discussions and conferences on health issues, I feel that the knowledge of public health nursing I learned in graduate school and the experience I gained in my training are useful. It is also stimulating to be able to discuss with master's and doctoral students with different specialties from a research perspective every day. In the future, I will continue my research and work on improving the system, aiming to link health information both domestically and internationally and create an environment where people who have received treatment abroad can live safely when they return to their home countries.

As a midwife, I can support mothers and children without any preconceptions.

In graduate school, I started my first year by doing internships at various facilities such as midwifery clinics and hospitals, learning about the medical systems and roles of midwives in each region. In particular, my internship in Laos allowed me to experience different cultures and living backgrounds, and it was an experience that made me deeply realize the importance of "getting to know the other person first." I am currently undergoing training in obstetrics and NICU before being assigned to a position, and I am observing the condition of mothers and children after birth while providing breastfeeding care and observing their overall condition with my seniors. The "attitude of being involved without being bound by preconceptions" that I developed during my time at university is being put to great use in my responses in the field. In the future, I would like to gain a wide range of midwifery experience while broadening my horizons to include postpartum care, and become a midwife who can support mothers, children, and families.

The experience in the mixed ward will serve as the foundation for future midwifery.

In graduate school, in addition to my internship at a hospital, I experienced a variety of internship locations, including clinics and midwifery clinics. I learned about the different roles played at each facility and the various options for career development as a midwife. Through conferences and reflections, I also developed the ability to have my own opinions and express them in words. I am currently assigned to a mixed ward of obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine, and am in charge of nursing in the internal medicine field. The attitude of expressing my opinions that I developed during my time at university is being put to good use in training and on-site conversations. In the future, when I take charge of obstetrics, I would like to build a foundation for properly interacting with mothers and children.
