The new Faculty of Information Science building [EX Building] is complete! (Scheduled for completion in 2027)

New Faculty of Information Science building [EX Building]

A people-friendly future will begin in the new Faculty of Information Science building. We will digitally shape "comfort" and "cuteness" to contribute to people's well-being. Won't you join us in starting a new era of information science here?

Digital Factory: A "digital lab" space that transforms ideas into tangible forms.

A hub for "making things" that brings ideas to life, equipped with 3D printers, laser cutters, and high-performance workstations. It also serves as a research lab freely available to information science students, fostering a communication space that cultivates new ideas.

A platform of knowledge where diverse perspectives intertwine: A large lecture hall accommodating 200 people.

A platform of knowledge where diverse perspectives intertwine: A large lecture hall accommodating 200 people.

The main hall is equipped with video and audio equipment to accommodate large audiences. It serves as a space for learning and exchange, where students can be exposed to diverse perspectives and cultivate their communication and dialogue skills through large-scale lectures, symposiums, and presentations.

In addition, we have a full range of facilities that are ideal for studying!

An immersive studio equipped with the latest video and sensing equipment. Utilizing immersive four-sided screens and motion capture, this space explores new possibilities for communication and entertainment by digitizing body movements, offering a truly immersive experience and expressive space.
A collaborative learning space equipped with six projectors, a large LED screen, and 80 high-performance workstations. A space for co-creation and practice that fosters active learning through dialogue and collaboration.
A laboratory equipped with measuring instruments such as eye trackers and electroencephalographs to scientifically capture people's minds, sensibilities, gaze, and reactions. A space to analyze usability and comfort as data and explore user-friendly experiences and values.
