Faculty of Modern Social Studies × Nippon Bunri University
The joint seminar project "Let's go to Oita", led by Associate Professor Sakamoto Hidetake of the Department of Faculty of Modern Social Studies, started in 2022, and 19 third- and fourth-year students from the Department of Faculty of Modern Social Studies, Associate Professor Sakamoto, and Dean Watanabe Kimiaki conducted fieldwork in Beppu City, Oita with local students from Nippon Bunri University.

Field Study II ~Child monitoring activities at elementary schools and career development~
In the class, we incorporated volunteering to watch over children at an elementary school. Through interacting with children, we were able to gain valuable experience in understanding ourselves and others, and gain hints for communication skills and career development.

Team medical experience I attended an educational camp for children with type 1 diabetes.
The participating students worked as volunteer staff, living and eating under the same roof as the other staff, and participated in each program together. Through the program, they were able to deepen their understanding of the disease while also interacting with other staff, mainly from medical professions such as doctors, nurses, and nutritionists.
