At the Keihan Department Store's Autumn Grand Thanksgiving Festival, held from October 8th (Thursday) to 28th (Wednesday), a special event called "Keihan Department Store x University Collaboration" will be held. The product was jointly developed by Ootora Kamaboko Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Osaka), which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and five third-year students Faculty of Health and Nutrition. The product is called "Woatamu Set," and "Woatamu" is a combination of "fish (kamaboko)" and "autumn."
The theme of the Autumn Thanksgiving Festival is "Magowayasashii" (beans, sesame, wakame seaweed, vegetables, fish, shiitake mushrooms, and potatoes), an acronym for ingredients that promote a healthy diet. In addition, the students aimed to create "products that allow you to easily experience autumn at home." There are six types of products in total, using seasonal ingredients such as edamame, sesame, sweet potatoes, and mushrooms, as well as novel ingredients such as tomatoes, basil, and chili peppers in the processed foods. All six types have a good balance of flavors and stand out with their own unique characteristics.
The products are manufactured by Ootora Kamaboko and will be sold from October 8th (Thursday) to October 28th (Wednesday) at Ootora Kamaboko stores in Keihan Department Store's Moriguchi, Kyobashi, Hirakata, and Kuzuha branches. Additionally, on October 11th (Sunday) and 18th (Sunday), students will be working at the stores to sell the products. Please come and visit us!
