Otemae University and Otemae College 's "Otemae City College" began accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Public Lecture Series on July 6th. This year, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the school's founding, a four-part lecture series will be offered on the theme of "An Introduction to Architecture and Urban Development Appreciation."

≪Event Overview≫
• Theme: A recommendation for appreciating Architecture and urban planning.
• Schedule and Lecturer:
o Session 1 (9/6): "Reading the Memories Residing in a Place" by Maito Takagi (Associate Professor this university)
o Second session (10/10): "Decoding the Urban History of Modern and Contemporary Kobe from Historical Records" Shihori Murakami (Section Chief, Kobe City Historical Archives / Specially Appointed Associate Professor Osaka Metropolitan University)
Third session (November 15): "The Future of Urban Green Spaces: Creating Towns that Nurture Shade and Living Things" by Hiroaki Ishii (Professor, Graduate School of Kobe University)
o4th session (12/5): "Things that change and things that remain the same over time" Kyoko Takagi (Professor at this university)

• Time: Each session from 10:00 to 11:30 (Registration from 9:15)
• Venue: Classroom A, Building A, Nishinomiya Shukugawa Campus
• Capacity: 200 people per session (first-come, first-served)
• Course fee: 3,000 yen for all 4 sessions / 1,000 yen per session (tax included)

≪Application period≫
• All 4 sessions: July 6th (Mon) - August 25th (Tue)
• Per session: From July 6th (Monday) to the 25th of the month preceding the month in which each course is held.
