Together with professionals active in the business world and faculty with a variety of specialties, students will plan and actually produce promotional videos for unprecedented services and products. The seminar will be conducted in groups using the PBL method, with group discussions and other activities that make use of students' autonomy.

Marketing Strategy Theory
Motoyuki MasaokaAssociate Professor
Master's Degree (Commerce)
The practical ability to implement logical and creative marketing.

In this course, students will learn about the process of marketing strategies. Specifically, students will consider, mainly from the perspective of a manufacturer, what kind of products or services should be created (product strategy), how much they should be priced (pricing strategy), where they should be sold (distribution strategy), and how they should be advertised (sales promotion strategy) in order to get customers to purchase and use them. The course will consist of explanations by the instructor and work. The theme of the work will be "product planning." Students will imagine themselves as marketing planners for a company and create a product proposal through group work. Through these activities, students will improve their practical marketing skills that can be used in the real world, both logically and creatively.

This is a practical marketing exercise conducted in collaboration with a company.

This is a PBL (Project Based Learning) lecture on marketing. It is not a memorization-based learning, but a practical learning experience in which students work in groups to find solutions to marketing problems given to them by companies and give a presentation at a presentation. By actually working in collaboration with companies, students can acquire problem-solving skills, and working in groups can cultivate communication skills. It provides the foundation for students to become business people who can plan and execute marketing in a logical and creative manner. Students who have attended the lecture have said things like, "It will be useful for internships and job hunting," and "I gained knowledge that will be useful in my future work." In confronting corporate challenges
Planning ability, presentation ability, and collaboration ability,
Industry-academia collaborative PBL (Project-Based Learning) allows you to acquire skills naturally.

In the "Industry-Academia Collaboration PBL" program, our planning, presentation, and teamwork skills were naturally honed by tackling real-world challenges faced by companies. Through dialogue with company representatives, we gained insights into "on-the-ground perspectives" that cannot be obtained through classroom lectures alone, allowing us to experience firsthand the workings of society and the realities of work. Furthermore, by repeatedly thinking about company challenges ourselves, we became able to concretely imagine what the current problems are, greatly broadening our perspectives. There were also instances where our proposals were evaluated positively by companies, and this sense of accomplishment has motivated us to continue learning. I feel that these practical experiences are invaluable opportunities to cultivate the thinking and action skills required in society.

Cultivate your ability to understand people's hearts,
Creating new value.

The marketing program at our university is appealing because, in addition to understanding theory, it offers practical learning based on real companies and products. We consider from multiple perspectives "why a particular choice is made" based on consumer psychology and social trends, and because there isn't just one answer, it's fascinating to think deeply about it. For me, marketing is about honing my "ability to understand people." I acquire the ability to read people's emotions and social backgrounds, and to think in a way that creates value. I find joy in learning through the process of exploring "the mechanisms that move people's hearts" through trial and error. In my seminar, we collaborate with real companies through PBL (Project-Based Learning) and challenge ourselves with product development and promotion planning. I find great satisfaction in deepening my thinking and turning ideas into reality while exchanging opinions with my peers.
