Sociology is fascinating!
Change your view of society with a multifaceted perspective.
My studies in the Faculty of Faculty of Modern Social Studies have given me the ability to view things from multiple perspectives and to think flexibly. In particular, "Social Statistics II," a subject required for the Social Researcher qualification, was difficult at first because it was just a series of numbers, and there were times when I almost gave up, but I was able to overcome it thanks to the support of my classmates and professors. I feel that the ability to objectively interpret data that I acquired in this class is indispensable in today's information-saturated society. In addition to my major in Media and Sociology, I feel that combining it with my minor in Moving Image / Animation production has broadened my understanding of society and the range of expression I can offer. Sociology may seem difficult, but it is a blessed environment with wonderful professors that will make you forget those anxieties.

We will learn about various themes in modern society from a multifaceted sociological perspective. "Thinking socially" means questioning common sense and trying to unravel why everyone in society is trapped by that common sense through theoretical thinking and accumulating empirical data. Modern society is one in which it is impossible to predict what will happen in just a few years. What has been considered common sense until now will not necessarily continue to be so in the future. To survive in such a society, it is necessary to acquire not only knowledge but also the attitude and etiquette for thinking, and this is the class for that purpose. I would like everyone, regardless of their interests and concerns, to take this class.
