Faculty of Intercultural Japanese Studies English Communication Major
Minako Sasaki
Graduated from Okayama Gakugeikan High School, a private school in Okayama Prefecture. - During my job search, I narrowed my focus to the aviation industry early on and concentrated on company research and interview preparation. Since each company has a different ideal candidate profile, I organized my thoughts by attending information sessions and internships, and prepared to connect them to my own experiences. Career Support Office provided detailed interview guidance on everything from speaking style to posture and facial expressions, which allowed me to approach the actual interviews with confidence. The support of the staff was a major factor in helping me regain a positive attitude even when I felt anxious. My management skills as a manager of the men's lacrosse team, the language skills I acquired through the university's unique practical English program, and the initiative and communication skills I cultivated through overseas training became strengths I could talk about during my job search. The career design class, where I articulated my goals for the future, also formed the foundation for developing my own sense of self.
