Learn History
Discover the fun,
Make it a map for the future.
Rather than simply learning historical facts, students can fully enjoy the appeal of learning history by questioning conventional wisdom and approaching facts from various angles. The act of learning history will become a map for living in the future.

To improve yourself,
It is important to look back on history.
I am often asked what the use of studying history at university is. It is true that there are only a limited number of situations in which history is useful in a superficially visible way. However, it is clear that history, which "looks back" on the activities that humanity has accumulated up to now, including both the good and the bad, is important. I think what is needed is for more people to honestly think that "history is important."Masaaki YamaguchiProfessor Doctor of Literature

My interest in history never ends.
I am currently studying Korean history, and the reason for this is that I got hooked on historical dramas from the Joseon dynasty. For example, in those days in Korea, there were women who were like courtesans in Japan, and in the dramas they wore gorgeous costumes. However, in reality, they were in a slave-like status, and it is very interesting to learn about this gap. At this university, you can freely study what you want to study, so the fun of learning never ends.
