Our university provides a liberal arts education university-wide for its undergraduate programs, and each faculty and department conducts educational and research activities with the following objectives:

• The Department Faculty of Intercultural Japanese Studies in Department of Intercultural Japanese Studies focuses on the cultural activities that humanity has created as its subject of education and research, and aims to cultivate cultured individuals who, through their learning activities, will acquire deep insight and a high level of sophistication about culture and who are able to respect and understand different cultures with a broad perspective.
• The Faculty Faculty of Architecture & Arts Department of Architecture & Arts focuses its education and research on art, architecture, manga, animation, and media expression, and aims to cultivate highly sensitive individuals who, through their learning activities, have acquired creativity and expressiveness and the ability to consider human life from a cultural perspective.
• The Department Faculty of Modern Social Studies in Department of Modern Social Studies focuses on domestic and international social phenomena as its subject of education and research, and aims to train individuals who, through their learning activities, will acquire the ability to discover and understand the various issues facing modern society, and who are equipped with the basic skills required for working life and who can play an active role in society in a wide range of areas.
• Department of Health and Nutrition in Faculty of Health and Nutrition focuses on complex and diverse health issues as its subject of education and research. It aims to train talented individuals who can contribute to improving the health of the nation by acquiring communication skills, planning skills, and execution skills through their learning activities, and who possess broad-based education, advanced specialized knowledge and skills, and rich humanity.
• Department of Nursing Faculty of Global Nursing focuses on educational and research issues related to nursing for the diverse people living in an internationalizing society, and aims to train talented people who can acquire knowledge, skills, and attitudes based on a global perspective and who can provide practical support to help all people live decent lives.
• Department of Business Administration Faculty of Business Administration focuses on domestic and international business phenomena as its subject of education and research. Through learning activities, the Department aims to cultivate talented individuals who can contribute to the happiness and sustainable development of society by acquiring a rich culture and specialized knowledge of business administration, while placing a focus on the local community and solving problems in companies and organizations.
