History of Midwifery Midwife Exam

In 1899, the "Midwife Regulations", the first unified nationwide legislation regarding midwives, was published, stipulating that in principle, anyone working as a midwife had to pass a midwife examination and be registered in a midwife register.
I am conducting research to clarify the knowledge and skills that midwives, who were just starting to become professionals at the time, needed by society and by pregnant women at that time, by examining the content of midwifery exam questions at the time.
