From the perspective that language = thinking, we are researching how we can develop so-called 21st century abilities such as imagination and critical thinking skills through Japanese language education, as well as the methodologies and underlying theories for doing so.
We are also working on analyzing natural conversations (not the model conversations found in textbooks, but the conversations we actually use on a daily basis) and creating methodologies and teaching materials to incorporate them into Japanese language education.
