Her research topic is culturally, religiously, and linguistically appropriate health care and nursing.
For example, when dealing with foreigners living in Japan, we tend to focus on the language barrier, but in medical and nursing care settings, we need to pay attention to and respect not only language but also things that we don't usually think about, such as religion, culture, and values.
My research focuses on what abilities and sensitivities medical professionals need to provide care that takes these issues into consideration.
