comment

I am researching alternative and complementary medicine and folk medicine in Japan and the UK from the perspective of medical anthropology. In particular, I am researching how medicine imported from overseas due to the globalization of medicine changes when influenced by local culture, society, and medical systems, the healing effects of alternative and complementary medicine, and the relationship between illness narratives and treatment outcomes. In English studies, I am also interested in media English, such as the English used in newspapers and broadcasts.
