This is a course for working adults Lecturer by experienced native speakers.
As with last year, we will continue to offer online classes using Zoom and face-to-face classes on campus, so you can choose your learning style.

Let's Begin English I This course is aimed at those who want to learn the basics of English or have limited English skills. The focus is on acquiring basic grammar, vocabulary and expressions needed for daily conversation. Daily Life English I Aimed at intermediate learners, the course explores a range of everyday topics such as shopping, travelling and dining. Through lively discussions, students will practice and improve their reading, listening and speaking skills. The course aims to increase confidence in expressing ideas and opinions in real-life situations. English Conversation Salon I Designed for advanced students who wish to hone their conversation skills in a relaxed and sociable environment. Each session covers a variety of topics including current affairs, culture and lifestyle, encouraging students to express their thoughts and perspectives. Emphasis is placed on improving listening comprehension, speaking ability and discussion skills. Students will take part in group dialogues, debates and presentations to further develop their language skills and confidence in speaking in English. FA62 Saturday 2nd period

If enrollment exceeds capacity (face-to-face classes: 15 people, online classes: 10 people), enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

After completing your application, you will receive an email from the Otemae City College office at the email address you registered, so please be sure to check it. If you have not received an email, it may be that your application was not completed or that the email from the office has been classified as spam. Please check.

Notes

After the application period has ended and we have confirmed that each course has reached its capacity, Otemae City College office will send you a course guide and a tuition transfer slip in early March. Please transfer the tuition fee by the due date.
After confirming your payment, we will send you a "Certificate of Attendance" by mail if you have registered for a face-to-face class, and we will send you the Zoom URL, ID, and password by email if you have registered for an online class, at least one week before the first class.

Common for face-to-face and online classes

  • If the number of applicants does not reach the minimum number of applicants (face-to-face classes: 8 people, online classes: 6 people), the course will be canceled. However, if the minimum number of applicants is not reached due to cancellations after confirmation, the course will be opened.
  • If the class capacity of each class (face-to-face class: 15 people, online class: 10 people) is exceeded, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, please also select a second choice. However, if additional classes are added depending on the situation, a different Lecturer will be in charge of the additional classes. (They will be assigned in the order of application.)
  • You cannot change classes after the course has started.
  • Tuition fees once paid cannot be refunded for any reason.
  • If a class is cancelled due to Lecturer 's circumstances, etc., a make-up class will be held at a later date. If you are absent for personal reasons, there will be no make-up class.
  • The Lecturer may be changed due to circumstances.
  • The personal information provided at the time of application will not be used for any purpose other than course-related correspondence and various announcements from Otemae Educational Corporation.
  • There is no parking space, so please refrain from coming by car.

Online Classes

  • Please be sure to install the Zoom app and test your equipment before attending the course.
  • Please note that the secretariat cannot provide support if you are unable to attend the course due to problems with your own line or equipment.
  • Any costs incurred in taking the course, such as data communication charges, will be borne by the student.
