2024.12.12
- Faculty of Health and Nutrition
In the "Food Hygiene Experiment" conducted by second-year students, students can learn about the techniques of laboratory equipment necessary for food hygiene management.
These devices are essential to ensure food safety and quality.
The instructor gave a detailed explanation about atomic absorption spectrophotometers, which can quantify inorganic substances, gas chromatographs, which can analyze components contained in gases and liquids, and high-performance liquid chromatographs.
The students were nervous being surrounded by precision equipment, but listened intently, and some were looking forward to using the equipment in their graduation research in their fourth year.
This facility was opened to the public as an instrumental analysis lab during the open campus held this year, allowing visitors to experience its charms for themselves. Some of you may have seen it.
Otemae University Faculty of Health and Nutrition has excellent research facilities and not only can students acquire a nutritionist license or qualify to take the national registered dietitian examination, but they can also become qualified to be appointed as food hygiene managers or food hygiene inspectors.
Opportunities to obtain such diverse qualifications broaden the career scope of students and greatly expand their future possibilities.
All faculty and staff are dedicated to supporting students to pave the way for a bright future.
