The Global Health Joint Conference 2024 was held from November 16th to 17th, 2024, Assistant Professor Kozue Yamauchi of the Faculty of Global Nursing at our university, along with co-researchers Assistant Professor Yuka Hirosawa and Associate Professor Tomiko Toda, presented a poster entitled "The Actual State of Mental Health Behaviors of International Students - From a Literature Review."
This conference was held at Kukuru Itoman (Itoman City Tourism and Cultural Exchange Center) in Okinawa Prefecture, and was jointly organized by the 65th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine, the 39th Annual Meeting of the Japan Association for International Health, and the 1st Taiwan Global Health Association. Many medical professionals from Japan and abroad participated.
The poster presented was part of a scoping review, and showed the results of mapping and integrating knowledge on the mental health of international students. Many participants showed interest, and it was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, opinions, and questions between researchers.
Going forward, the three faculty members will continue to focus on medical, health, and educational activities overseas and apply what they have learned to their research.
