Deep purple was considered the most noble color in ancient Japan. However, it was said that it was very difficult to reproduce the color of ancient Japanese dyes that used the purple root. However, Professor Imabuku, with the cooperation of Professor Morishita, Director of History Research Institute, conducted repeated experiments while referring to descriptions in ancient documents (Engishiki), and attempted to reproduce the color of ancient purple.
