[Faculty of Business Administration] Special class on "Digital Society and Technology" held!

Faculty of Business Administration 's course "Digital Society and Technology" (taught by Professor Hata Kojiro) held a special lecture on July 11th and 18th, 2024, featuring Mr. Norio Karamatsu from the Marketing Strategy Department of the Marketing Headquarters of Cybozu Inc., one of Japan's leading tech companies, and Mr. Yuki Inai from the Data Collaboration Promotion Headquarters of LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation.

・No-code tools to promote DX – Cybozu, Inc.
During the class, we were introduced to the importance of no-code tools and examples of how they are being used to promote digital transformation.
On the day, there was also a demonstration of Cybozu Inc.'s no-code tool "kintone." The students were very interested in how easy it was to build a system, and they eagerly learned how to operate kintone and examples of its use.
In a survey conducted after the class, participants responded with comments such as, "It was good to learn about the potential of no-code tools," and "I learned that even non-engineers need the ability to utilize digital tools," suggesting that interest in digital tools has increased.

・Monetization mechanisms of "LINE" and "Yahoo! JAPAN" – LINE Yahoo Japan Corporation
During the class, the students were given an explanation of practical applications in business, including the monetization mechanisms of the "LINE" and "Yahoo! JAPAN" services that they use on a daily basis, corporate digital marketing strategies, and how to utilize user data.
Students commented that it was good to learn about what goes on behind the scenes of the services we use every day, and that it gave me a better understanding of corporate digital strategies, and it appears that they were able to deepen their understanding of the use of digital technology in business.

Faculty of Business Administration hopes that through these practical classes, students will become interested in the digital field and deepen their knowledge of how to adapt to the digital society. Going forward, the school plans to continue offering meaningful classes that meet the needs of the times.
