Selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "University and College of Technology Function Strengthening Support Project"

Otemae University is preparing to open its seventh faculty, the Faculty of Information Science (tentative name, currently under construction), in April 2027. In conjunction with this, the university applied for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "University and College of Technology Function Strengthening Support Project" Support 1 "Support for the transition to specific growth fields through faculty reorganization, etc.", and has now been selected as a recipient of the support.
This project is subsidized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology with the aim of promoting the establishment of science, engineering and agricultural faculties, which are expected to grow in the future. In response to the results of this selection, and based on our university's mission of collaborating with the local community and cultivating human resources who can contribute to the community, we will begin preparations to establish a Faculty of Information Science (tentative name, currently being planned) in order to utilize our strengths to cultivate science-related human resources.
