At the "Izumi City 2024 Gender Equality Society Creation Course" held at the Izumi City Gender Equality Center on March 8th, Assistant Professor Yoshikawa Eri of Faculty of Global Nursing gave a lecture on the theme of "Women's Bodies and Health: Important Things I Need to Know for My Future Self."
The Izumi City Gender Equality Center (nicknamed More Izumi) is a central facility for promoting the creation of a gender-equal society in which both men and women can participate in all areas of society.
More Izumi holds lectures, events and provides consultation services for a wide range of citizens. This lecture was held with the aim of teaching correct knowledge on maintaining health from the perspective of reproductive health rights, and supporting women to focus on their own health and put into practice measures to improve their health so that they can live life to the fullest in their own way.
Participants were from a wide range of age groups, and there was a great response to the theme of women's health, indicating a high level of awareness about women's health and a strong need for knowledge and information on maintaining and improving their health.
We would like to continue thinking about how to provide support that supports women throughout their lives.
