Professor Shinno Yusei (Architecture Course) of Faculty of Architecture & Arts has received the "Illuminating Engineering Society of Japan Kansai Branch Award (2024)" from the Kansai Branch of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Japan (Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan).

The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan Kansai Branch Award is given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of lighting. This year's award was given in recognition of his research results that contribute to the design of architectural spaces (such as the sense of contrast in colors and the brightness of outdoor advertisements at night), as well as his contributions through his activities as the general affairs secretary of the Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan Kansai Branch.

The award was presented and an acceptance speech was given at the 2024 Spring Lighting Forum in Kansai held on Friday, February 28, 2025.
