[Faculty of Global Nursing] Research presented at international conference on weight loss and risk of hospitalization among home nursing care recipients

On February 13th and 14th, 2025, the 28th East Asia Forum of Nursing Scholars was held in Seoul, Korea. Associate Professor Tomoko Yano and Assistant Professor Jun Tomioka of Faculty of Global Nursing gave a poster presentation titled "Impact of weight loss on hospitalization of home care nursing users: literature review." This presentation revealed through a review of English literature that weight loss in home care nursing users affects hospitalization.
At our school, we teach students about nursing for people living in the community in the field of community and home nursing. In the future, we would like to produce evidence to prevent hospitalization due to weight loss among home nursing users and enable them to continue their home care life, and link this to education and research.
