An event where you can experience the crossover of psychology and music will be held on March 18th at Sakura Shukugawa Campus, with the aim of providing "richer knowledge and experience" by fusing the two.

The program consists of a lecture by Lecturer Colonel Hamada of the Department of Psychology, Faculty Faculty of Modern Social Studies (psychology part) and a performance of pieces based on psychological concepts by professional musicians (music part), allowing students to enjoy the "crossover" experience that is a distinctive feature of learning at our university.

The psychology part will focus on "everyone" interpreting the "behavior of others" that troubles people on a daily basis, and provide knowledge for interpreting behavior. Professional musicians will perform music associated with the theme of this lecture, creating a strong sense of unity in the space and providing an opportunity for everyone to reinterpret the behavior. In addition, we will take up "synesthesia" as an example of human diversity, and will promote understanding of the mysteries of perception that humans potentially possess, including the experiences of musicians with synesthesia. Please join us in enjoying this unprecedented new attempt at a collaboration between psychology and music.
