In collaboration with Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture, an "awareness poster" created by three students from the Faculty of Architecture and Art will begin to be displayed in related facilities within the police station's jurisdiction.
Prior to the posters being put to use, a presentation ceremony was held on Friday, February 28th.

The awareness posters were created as part of an assignment for the practical subject "Comic Illustration I" (supervisor: Part-time Lecturer Eto) in the spring semester of 2024, and the best works selected by a student committee were displayed on campus.
We proposed to Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture that the awareness posters be used not only on campus but also off campus, and this led to a collaboration.

The presentation ceremony was held in the chief's office of Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture, and was attended by the three students who created the posters and their supervisors.
With nervous looks on their faces, the students handed over the posters they had made, and Nishinomiya Police Station Superintendent Toshimasa Nishina commented, "The awareness-raising content expressed in this poster is an issue that is currently a problem, and the message that the police want to convey is expressed with a young sensibility," and he listened to the thoughts that each student put into making their poster.

The three posters, which raise awareness about "special fraud," "using a smartphone while riding a bicycle," and "illegal part-time jobs," will be displayed sequentially on bulletin boards at police stations and police boxes and related facilities under the jurisdiction of Nishinomiya Police Station in Hyogo Prefecture.
After the presentation ceremony, the students answered questions from reporters in which they explained how long it took them to make their posters, the creative aspects they used, and what they hope people will take away from them.

[Student comments]
Special fraud awareness:
I drew a smartphone, which is something that is familiar to us all, even elementary school students have. The realistic depiction of the eyes conveys the idea that "careless actions are being watched." (Tomoya Saito, 3rd year, Faculty of Architecture & Art)

Raising awareness about using smartphones while cycling:
I drew a scene of a person staring at their smartphone and not looking ahead at all, to warn of the danger. (Ryuu Miyamoto, 3rd year student, Faculty of Architecture and Art)

Unlicensed part-time job awareness:
This represents the idea that bad people are keeping a watchful eye from within smartphones, conveying the message that we should not connect with others.
(Kairi Koyama, 3rd year, School of Architecture & Art)
