[Faculty of Health and Nutrition] Participated in Higashisumiyoshi Ward Food Education Festival 2025

On Saturday, February 22nd, we participated in the "Food Education Festa 2025" held at the Higashisumiyoshi Ward Office and Ward Hall in Osaka City as an Osaka City Healthy Partner to carry out food education activities. A total of 14 students participated, including seven first-year and seven second-year students Faculty of Health and Nutrition.

Otemae University set up an SAT system experience booth and had many people try it out.
The students looked nervous at first, but gradually began to talk to the citizens who came to the event. Over 100 people participated in the SAT system experience, which checks the balance of your daily meals. The first participants were Higashisumiyoshi Ward Mayor Fujimura and Health and Welfare Center Director (Deputy Ward Mayor) Murata, who looked back on their daily eating habits.

In 2024, there were a total of eight activity opportunities from the 19th National Food Education Promotion Conference held on June 1st and 2nd last year until February, and students mainly from their first to third years cooperated and supported the activities.

We have already received requests for activities in 2025. As in this year, we hope to cooperate with our peers who aim to become future registered dietitians across grade levels.
