Nishinomiya Central Sports Park is a valuable green space in the southern part of the city, and together with the Central Gymnasium and Athletic Stadium, it serves as a base for sports and recreational activities in Nishinomiya City. However, in recent years, the Central Gymnasium and Athletic Stadium have become increasingly dilapidated, and as the urgent renewal of these facilities has become an issue, a redevelopment project has been carried out.

Nishinomiya City then approached our university, which has an architecture course, about holding a workshop to build the park. Volunteer students from the architecture course visited the site on Saturday, April 27, 2024, together with Nishinomiya City, the design team, and accompanying teachers.
In addition, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, an event was hosted by Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd., and representatives from Gendai Landscape Co., Ltd. and the Culture and Sports Department of the Nishinomiya City Industrial and Cultural Bureau visited the university. Students from the architecture course and students from the tourism and regional management course at our university presented proposals that they had put together individually or in seminars, and then split into groups to exchange opinions based on the content of the presentations.

Based on the proposals and opinions of these students, representatives from Azusa Sekkei Inc. and Gendai Landscape Inc. presented a report on the basic design at our university on Friday, February 7, 2025.
During the presentation, the professor clearly explained each of the student's opinions, including those that were incorporated and those that unfortunately were not.

During the question and answer session following the presentations, the participating students asked lively questions and exchanged opinions, making the presentations more fulfilling than scheduled.
