[Faculty of Global Nursing] Accepted nursing students from Yonsei University, Korea

For five days from January 20th to 24th, we welcomed six nursing students from our overseas partner institution, Yonsei University (South Korea), to our Osaka Otemae Campus for a short-term training program.
The training program consisted of lectures and exercises in English given by faculty members of Faculty of Global Nursing, and students from Yonsei University learned about the Japanese medical system, the current situation of the elderly, and the visiting nurse system. In addition, with the cooperation of a visiting nurse station, students were able to observe visiting nurses in Japan.
They also visited the ATC Ageless Centre where they could see and try out welfare equipment, and the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution where they learned about disaster prevention measures in Japan.
On the final day, students from Yonsei University gave presentations about their studies in Japan and were awarded certificates of completion.
On the day before the program, students from Faculty of Global Nursing hosted a one-day home visit to the students' homes. During the training program, the Yonsei University students also had the opportunity to experience Japanese life and culture through interactions with the students, such as making art using mizuhiki and playing a hospital mystery solving game with members of the Global Circle.
Our students participated in the training program as volunteers and not only enjoyed interacting with Yonsei University students, but also had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of diverse cultures.
We will continue to promote exchanges with our overseas partner universities.
